Judge lowers bond for couple accused in shooting

YOUNGSTOWN — A Mahoning County Common Pleas Court judge today reduced the bond for a husband and wife accused of shooting a man on a North Side Street in May.

Judge Maureen Sweeney reduced bonds for Thomas Hull, 59, and Evegenia Hull, 33, to $250,000 each with the proviso that they be placed on house arrest if they post bond.

Their bonds were originally set at $500,000 each.

They are charged with attempted murder in the shooting of a man at Elm Street and Madison Avenue on May 13. They then fled to Pittsburgh after the shooting, where they were arrested by U.S. Marshals.
