Garden will host butterfly festival


YOUNGSTOWN

Southside Community Garden, at the corner of Williamson Avenue and Erie Street, will host the third annual Butterfly Festival from 1 to 4 p.m. Saturday, rain or shine.

The festivities will include free food and music by Jericho Project and Rachell Joy. From 1 to 2:30 p.m. at the site, officials will dedicate a “pop-up” library, part of the Public Library of Youngstown and Mahoning County.

More than 40 butterflies will be available for feeding, including Monarchs and Painted Ladies. Guests can take pictures with a giant Monarch.
