Cleveland Indians RHP Josh Tomlin will make a rehab start, and LHP Nick Hagadone will make a bullpen appearance for the Scrappers tonight against the Auburn Doubledays at Eastwood Field.
Tomlin had shoulder surgery prior to the beginning of the regular season for the Indians. He has already made two rehab appearances, starting for the AZL Indians on July 5 and for Double-A Akron on July 10. Tomlin last pitched for the Indians in 2014. He spent the 2006 season with the Scrappers.
Hagadone will make an appearance out of the bullpen. This year with the Indians, Hagadone is 0-1 with a 4.28 ERA in 36 appearances. Game time is set for 7:05 p.m.
Other roster moves made on Tuesday: OF David Armendariz has been promoted to Single-A Lake County; RHP Johan Puello has been assigned to AZL Indians; OF Jodd Carter has been assigned to Mahoning Valley from AZL Indians; RHP Jordan Carter has been assigned to Mahoning Valley from Single-A Lake County.
Scrappers plan Man Up Mahoning Valley night
Man Up Mahoning Valley night at Eastwood Field with the Scrappers is set for July 24.
For every box seat purchased using the code “MANUP,” fans will receive a $2 discount on the price of the ticket (regularly $10) and Man Up Mahoning Valley will receive $3.
Man Up Mahoning Valley, which is supported by the Mercy Health Foundation Mahoning Valley, seeks to eliminate prostate cancer in the Mahoning Valley by providing free prostate cancer screenings and education to area residents. The first 1,000 fans through the gate on Man Up Night will receive a free foam finger.

Start of Class B title series washed out

Game one of the Class B championship series between Roth Brothers and Astro Falcons was washed out on Tuesday.
The best-of-five championship series will start today with a doubleheader beginning at 6 p.m.
Roth Brothers earned a finals berth after sweeping both games from Creekside Fitness at Bob Cene Park on Monday. Astro Falcons took care of Ohio Glaciers in the other semfinal.
YSU lands on WBCA’s academic top 25 team

For the third time in the last four years, the Youngstown State women’s basketball team has been recognized for having one of the top 25 grade-point averages in the country.
The Penguins posted a team GPA of 3.422 during the 2014-15 academic year, which ranked 22nd on the Women’s Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA) Academic Top 25 Team Honor Roll presented by AT&T that was released Tuesday. YSU was sixth on the list in 2011-12 and 17th in 2012-13. YSU is one of just 11 programs in the country to appear on the WBCA Academic Top 25 Team Honor Roll three times since 2011-12.
The Penguins have also played in the Women’s NIT twice in the last four years, making the program one of nine in Division I to be in the academic top 25 and play in the postseason twice since 2011-12.
Bo Pelini to speak at Curbstone Coaches
First-year Youngstown State University head football coach Bo Pelini will be the guest speaker for the Curbstone Coaches on July 27.
The event will be at Lucianno’s Banquet Center in the Wedgewood Plaza in Austintown. It will begin at 6 p.m. and is open to the public. The cost is $11 and includes a buffet dinner and 50/50 raffle ticket.
