Free legal consultations for artists, art group

YOUNGSTOWN

The Legal Creative, in partnership with the Public Library of Youngstown and Mahoning County, will present two free legal clinics for artists.

The dates and locations are:

July 24, noon to 4 p.m., at the Main Branch of the library, 305 Wick Ave., Youngstown

Oct. 30, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., at the Austintown branch, 600 S. Raccoon Road.

At each clinic, art professionals and art organizations can schedule a half-hour or one-hour appointment to meet with a volunteer attorney.

A limited number of appointments will be available, and all artists must register in advance.

Registration is free and open to all artists and arts organizations regardless of income.

Consultations are limited to topics relating to the running of an arts business, such as copyright law, trademark law, contract law and business formation.

No walk-in appointments will be accepted.
