Warren police investigating shooting that injured a man late this afternoon

WARREN — Several gunshots were reported at 5:30 p.m. today in the 2000 Block of North Seederle Street, one of which struck a person in the arm and another went through the first-floor window of a residence nearly striking a woman who was working in her kitchen.

Police arrived on scene in under two minutes, found blood on the ground and sidewalk and began searching the area for the victim and interviewing witnesses, said Sgt. Bryan Holmes, field supervisor.

The victim, a 26-year-old man, took himself to ValleyCare Trumbull Memorial Hospital, where he was treated for an arm wound, Holmes said.

No arrests had been made, and police did not know the motive for the shooting nor how many people were involved.
