Legacy rescue plans a winery fundraiser

Legacy Dog Rescue, a nonprofit organization, will sponsor Hot Diggity Dog Day from 1 to 6 p.m. Saturday at Lil Paws Winery, 17574 Mahoning Ave.

It will cost $5 for five hot dog tastes paired with five wine tastes. Many hot dog types such as BLT hot dogs, sloppy joe dog, Mexican dog, Buffalo chicken dog and more will be featured, along with veggie dogs.

There also will be a basket auction.

Proceeds will help abused, neglected and abandoned dogs of Trumbull and Mahoning County.
