Heroin found in Austintown apartment stairwell

AUSTINTOWN

Several bags of narcotics were found in an apartment building in the township Monday morning.

According to a police report, authorities were called to the Pembrook Apartments, 4150 Pembrook Road, at 11:18 a.m. Monday. Once there, Austintown police were directed to a bag found in a stairwell that had 17 individual clear plastic bags containing heroin and one clear bag containing marijuana.

The drugs were seized as evidence and township police are investigating where the drugs came from.
