History lunch program at Tyler

YOUNGSTOWN

The Mahoning Valley Historical Society’s next Bites and Bits of History lunch program will take place Thursday at noon at the Tyler Mahoning Valley History Center, 325 W. Federal St., downtown.

Patricia Scarmuzzi, curator of Collections at the National McKinley Birthplace Museum in Niles, will highlight the memorial in celebration of its centennial. The presidential memorial was the first constructed for the use of the local community.

The program will include a discussion of the planning, funding and construction of the National McKinley Birthplace Memorial in Niles.
