City police arrest trio for drug charges
YOUNGSTOWN — Police arrested two people on possession of heroin charges and a third for possession of cocaine during separate traffic stops over the weekend.
Norman Macias, 41, of Fowler, was arrested for possession of heroin about 12:20 a.m. Sunday after he was pulled over for making an improper turn from Lauderdale Avenue to Logan Avenue. He was taken into custody for driving under suspension and a bag of heroin was found in his pockets when he was searched.
Just before midnight Saturday, Brisco Huff, 58, of Youngstown, was pulled over for an improper turn on South Avenue and he was also taken into custody because he had no valid license. When he was searched police found eight small bags of suspected crack cocaine and he was taken to the jail on a charge of possession of cocaine.
About 1:30 a.m. Saturday, Billy Kalogeras was taken into custody for possession of heroin after he was found at Elm Road and Gypsy Lane with four used syringes and a bag of heroin he tried to hide.
