SENIOR SIDELIGHTS

Guardian Angels of Ohio, a volunteer program of Trumbull County Probate Court, is looking for new volunteers. Angel volunteers receive training to become advocates who reach out as friends to seniors who may need a friendly phone call, a visit in a nursing home, or a visit at home. Angels also are involved in planning special events for seniors such as health fairs and Make a Difference day projects. The next meeting will take place at 5:30 p.m. Aug. 4 at Shepherd of the Valley, 4100 N. River Road, Warren. Reservations are necessary for the dinner at 5 p.m., which costs $6.50 per person.
