WARREN

Total Waste Logistics, a solid-waste transfer station on Bundy Avenue in Girard, has agreed to pay the state $65,000 to resolve complaints alleging the company failed to pay the state $308,811 in tipping fees.

Such fees are paid by garbage haulers to Total Waste Logistics, which in turn was supposed to pay the fees to the state of Ohio.

The fees were for January 2010 through June 2011, according to a complaint filed in Trumbull County Common Pleas Court by the Ohio Attorney General’s Office.

In addition to Total Waste Logistics, the attorney complaint named Peter Hornick of New York, N.Y. as a defendant.

Hornick agrees to pay the $65,000 in two intallments of $32,500 – one by Aug. 1, 2015, and the other five months after that.

The agreement says the state alleges that Hornick violated Ohio law by failing to make payments, but Hornick denies the allegations, according to the agreement.

The agreement was approved by Judge Andrew D. Logan.
