Astro Falcons 13, Rudzik Excavating 1

Tyler Garber picked up the win, allowing one run on one hit in four innings of work, while walking two and striking out nine. Corbin Kessler had two hits, three RBI and a run scored for Astro while Noah Laster hit a pair of RBI singles and scored a run. Jared Houser had two hits, a run and an RBI while Jared Kapturasky hit a two-run double and scored a run. Hunter Snyder hit an RBI single and scored twice. For Rudzik, Ray Scala crossed home.

Stingrays 5, Astro Falcons 2

Winning pitcher Alex Gray tossed a six-hitter, allowing one earned run while striking out 11 batters at the Cene Park Tournament. Tom Whitey and Josh Cales each had two hits for the Stingrays. For the Falcons, Chris Lewis had two hits and a run while Justin Stewart one hit and RBI.

Diamond Hit Club 3, Baird Brothers 1

Jack Rafoth took the loss for Baird, allowing three runs (two earned) on eight hits in 5 1/3 innings of work. Rafoth walked three batters and struck out two. Adam Cerar pitched a complete game in the win, allowing one run on three hits, while striking out four and walking three. Nick Bianco led Baird with two hits including a double and he scored the run. Danny Williams had the RBI while Vinnie Monico doubled. Jack Siefert’s two hits included a double and he scored twice. Will LaGanke had two hits and had both RBIs.

Joe Gasior got the win for Baird, giving up just one run on eight hits in 6 2/3 innings of work, while striking out six and walking three. Dylan Dickey recorded the final out to pick up a save. Hayden Sherwood hit a pair of doubles for Baird in the win, along with driving in and scoring a run. JJ Nicholas had two hits, including a double, and two RBIs. Vinnie Monico slugged two hits of his own and scored a run. Coleman Stauffer hit a double, scored a run, and drove home another while Colin Roth touched home twice.

Rizer’s Bob Cavalier led off the 12th inning with a double, then scored the winning run on Malik Caige’s sacrifice fly. Brian Shevitz picked up the win in relief, pitching a scoreless 12th inning. Caige pitched the first six innings for Rizer, allowing one unearned run on four hits, while striking out nine and walking one. Kade Labasetta took the loss. Cavalier had two hits and Caige one. Jaxon Anderson led Rizer with three hits and drove in a run while Braedon O’Shaughnessy contributed two hits. One was a double and he scored a run. Will Shaffer had a hit and scored a run. For Diamond Boys, Luke Thomas slugged three hits while Galvin Williams had a hit and scored both runs.

Brian Shevitz pitched a complete-game shutout for Rizer, giving up three hits while striking out two. Mark Torselo had two hits while Shevitz had two hits including a double. For the Longhorns, DJ Snyder, Ben Aiken and Bradley Goodyear each had a hit.
