Staff report
YOUNGSTOWN
The Ohio Department of Transportation announced a new round of projects Friday.
In Youngstown, there will be various daily lane restrictions for resurfacing and minor bridge repairs on state Route 289 between Himrod Avenue and the city of Campbell corporation limit.
There also will be daily lane restrictions on U.S. Route 422 between Belmont Avenue/state Route 193 and the Trumbull County line.
These jobs are the beginning of a $2 million project to resurface those sections of Route 289 and Route 422; the work is scheduled to be completed by late September.
In Austintown, the ramp from state Route 11 northbound to Interstate 80 eastbound closed Friday through mid-November for a bridge replacement and widening. That detour is Interstate 680 to state Route 711 northbound.
Beginning today through 5 a.m. Monday, the I-80 eastbound ramp to Route 11 southbound will be closed for pavement repairs. That detour is I-80 eastbound/Route 11 northbound to Salt Springs Road, to I-80 westbound to Route 11 southbound.
In Green Township, the U.S. Route 62 bridge over Meander Creek between Knauf and Calla roads is closed through late July for replacement. That detour is Route 224 to state Route 45 to state Route 165. This work is the start of a $250,000 project to replace that bridge. The work is expected to be finished by late August.
