Blessing of bikes
HUBBARD
The first blessing of motorcycles at First Baptist Church, 59 Orchard Ave., is planned July 19.
The day will start with special worship and music with the Rev. Luke Oskin presenting the sermon message at the 10:15 a.m. service.
Immediately following, all riders should meet at their motorcycles, where Pastor Oskin and members of the diaconate will give personal blessings.
A free picnic of hot dogs and popcorn is planned. Parking for bikes will be across the street from the church at the board of education office parking lot. Security will be provided. Each rider will receive a gift.
The mission focus will be the collection of personal-hygiene items to be distributed to Hubbard school students with a need. A special offering for this mission outreach will be taken.

Special service
YOUNGSTOWN
A service of repentance and mourning with Holy Communion is planned at 6 p.m. Sunday at Martin Luther Lutheran Church, 420 Clearmount Drive. This service is hosted by congregations of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America located in Mahoning County.
This service is in response to the deaths June 17 at Emanuel African Methodist Episcopal Church in Charleston, S.C.
The Rev. Dr. Brandon A.A.J. Davis, pastor of St. Andrewes AME Church, will preach, and the Rev. David Kamphuis, pastor of Martin Luther Lutheran, will preside over the Eucharist.
An offering will be collected for the Rebuild the Churches Fund to assist black congregations whose churches were destroyed by arson.
Labyrinth walks
VILLA MARIA, PA.
Villa Maria will host a guided labyrinth walk from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Wednesday on the grounds of Villa Maria Community Center. The theme will be “Path of Oneness.”
Participants are invited to meet at the outdoor labyrinth at 6:30 p.m. to prayerfully walk the grass path after receiving thematic instructions from the presenter.
Guided labyrinth walks are offered at no charge. Free-will offerings are accepted to help continue services that VMESC offers. In the event of questionable weather, call 724-964-8886.
Praise service
southington
Southington United Methodist Church, state Route 305 in the town center, has a praise and worship service at 7 p.m. Saturdays.
Casual dress is permitted and refreshments will follow.
Prayer at noon
CANFIELD
Canfield United Methodist Church, 27 S. Broad St., will sponsor a prayer gathering at noon Wednesdays during July at the Gazebo on the Green.
The prayer time is open to the public and will include a short reading from the Psalms and prayer concerns for individuals, community, the country and the world.
The Rev. Susan Brown, pastor at Canfield UMC, will lead prayer Wednesday and July 22 and 29. For information, call 330-533-9801.
Special worship
YOUNGSTOWN
The Davidic Army of God Ministry will present a special worship service at 10:30 a.m. Sunday at Fifth Avenue Community Church, 1361 Fifth Ave., where Mary Hall is pastor.
The Rev. Marion Masters is the Davidic Army’s founder and leader.
The service will feature shofars and a replica of the Ark of the Covenant.
