Lists of vacation Bible schools open to the public will run on the Religion page. Please include the following information: the complete name of the church; address with city or township; time, date and location of sessions; program theme; ages or grades; and whether it’s free or there is a fee. Information should be submitted two weeks before the school’s opening or its registration deadline. The Religion deadline is 5 p.m. Wednesday for publication that Saturday. For verification, include a name and phone number of a contact person, which will not be published.
Chestnut Ridge Church of God, 7215 Chestnut Ridge Road, Hubbard: “Everest: Conquering Challenges with God’s Mighty Power” is the theme of the free program planned from 6 to 9 p.m. Monday through Friday for children in kindergarten through sixth grade (completed). Activity stations include music, dance, crafts, games and snacks. Mission project is raising funds to buy new winter apparel for those in need in the community. Children also can show support by donating gently used winter coats, hats, gloves and scarves. Children will be entered into a drawing to win a gift certificate.
