Youngstown tire shop ransacked and items taken

YOUNGSTOWN

A car, 16 new tires with a value of $2,000, tools valued at $1,000 and $1,800 in cash were taken from a Loveland Road tire shop about 6:40 a.m. Thursday.

Police were called to Elmo Tire, 3688 Loveland Road for an alarm call and when they arrived they found a rear garage door open.

Reports said the office was ransacked and a jack was found in the parking lot. The owner told police the car that was taken was on the jack in the garage and being worked on.
