WARREN — Chelsie N. Spelich, 20, who is accused of driving into stopped traffic on Summit Street on Tuesday, injuring herself and two other drivers, will remain in the Trumbull County Jail without eligibility to make bond until at least her next hearing.
Spelich, of Rosegarden Drive in Howland and Ivy Hill Circle in Cortland, pleaded not guilty Thursday in Warren Municipal Court to six charges.
They are unauthorized use of a motor vehicle, driving under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs, operating a motor vehicle without a license, failure to maintain assured clear distance, failure to stop after an accident, and no seat belt.
She pleaded not guilty on Wednsday to possessing drug paraphernalia.
The crash sent Spelich and a Warren police officer to ValleyCare Trumbull Memorial Hospital and caused another driver to get treatment by ambulance personnel at the accident scene.
Four cars altogether were involved in the 7:40 a.m. crash near Tod Avenue Northwest.
On Wednesday, a Warren Municipal Court judge denied her the possibility of bond saying she was a risk to flee the area and not appear for court. She also has an address in Summerville, S.C.
