UPDATE | Change in OVI checkpoint in Austintown tonight

AUSTINTOWN — Due to an unexpected location conflict, the Mahoning County Operating a Vehicle while Impaired Task Force checkpoint at 4545 New Road was canceled this evening.

As a result, there will only be one checkpoint – 4477 Mahoning Ave. – and it will run from 10 p.m. tonight to 3 a.m. Saturday.

In addition, police officers from participating agencies of the task force will be conducting saturation patrols in various parts of Mahoning County throughout the weekend.
