Cops respond to ‘nuisance’ call about well-fed crow at park

CLAYSBURG, Pa.

Don’t feed the crow. Oops, it’s too late.

Police in one central Pennsylvania community said they responded to a “nuisance crow” call Wednesday that has its roots in people who have fed and befriended the bird in the past.

Greenfield Township police Chief Andrew Campbell told WJAC-TV that the bird – nicknamed Frank by those who frequent Claysburg Park – swooped down on a woman who was walking around a track and startled her.

The chief said police are trying to reintroduce the bird to its natural habitat after it got in the habit of being fed by park visitors.

Alabama burglary suspect chased by bull through pasture

ARAB, Ala.

Sheriff’s officials in northern Alabama say a burglary suspect was taken into custody after being chased by a bull through a cow pasture.

Marshall County Sheriff Scott Walls told WHNT-TV that 26-year-old Brad Lynn Hemby was being sought in connection with a burglary Wednesday morning in Arab.

Walls said Hemby tried fleeing deputies by running through a cow pasture, and a bull roaming the land joined the chase. Walls said Hemby eventually fell onto a barbed-wire fence and surrendered.

Walls said stolen property was recovered from Hemby’s truck, and the man is charged with burglary, theft and attempting to elude. It’s unclear if he has an attorney.
