Classic cars featured at charity show


Corvettes, other classic cars, hot rods and motorcycles from throughout Northern Ohio and Pennsylvania will merge in Austintown for the Mahoning Valley Corvettes 21st annual Car Show.

The Mahoning Valley Corvettes and Greenwood Chevrolet will be sponsoring a car show on July 19 from 9:30 a.m. until 3 p.m. at the Greenwood Chevrolet building, located at 4665 Mahoning Avenue in Austintown. Registration will begin at 9:30 a.m. and will be available until 11 a.m.

The show is open not only to Corvettes but all other cars and motorcycles. The entry fee is $10. If you are showing for National Council of Corvette Clubs points, the fee is $20.

Part of the proceeds will benefit SMARTS, Students Motivated by the Arts. Your Community Art School is transitioning to the community. SMARTS provides accessibility and equity in quality arts education to K-12 students from throughout our region, classes offered by SMARTS include visual arts, music, dance, theater and creative writing. Part of the proceeds will also go to the Silver Lining Cancer Fund, This fund is committed to helping cancer patients that are in need in the tri-county area.

Trophies and prizes will be awarded for all classes of vehicles, including motorcycles. Awards include People’s Choice and Best of Show.

Music will be provided by DJ Big Rick. Food and beverages will be available.
