Back-to-school drive underway for Beatitude House

Beatitude House is seeking donations for its Back to School Drive.

The supplies will benefit the homeless and disadvantaged children served by Beatitude House as they prepare for the upcoming school year.

Traditional school supplies are needed, but other items requested include three-ring binders, flash drives, note cards, book covers, pencil boxes, tissues, hand sanitizer, paper towels, sandwich size and large resealable plastic bags, sanitizing wipes, dry erase markers and Play-Doh.

Wide-rule and college-rule notebooks and loose-leaf paper also are needed.

Donations of backpacks, lunch bags and gift cards that can be used to purchase school clothing, shoes, socks and underwear are appreciated. The children served by Beatitude House range in age from elementary to high school and attend various schools.

To donate, take items to the Beatitude House administrative offices, 238 Tod Lane, Youngstown, or to the Warren location at 1370 Tod Ave. NW. Items will be accepted from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday through Aug. 3.
