ODOT announces traffic-pattern changes of the U.S. Route 224 bridge over state Route 11

CANFIELD — Traffic patterns are changing as the replacement and reconstruction of the U.S. Route 224 bridge over state Route 11 continues.

Beginning at 8 p.m. today, eastbound traffic will be expanded to two lanes of through traffic and westbound traffic will continue to have one lane of traffic. The traffic is being shifted onto the newly constructed southbound side of the bridge.

This new traffic pattern will be until further notice as the $6.5 million project continues to reconstruct and widen the bridge over Route 11. The work also includes widening Raccoon Road at Route 224 and the Route 11 southbound ramp to 224.
