Pavlik in Niles court on assault charge

NILES

Kelly R. Pavlik, 33, former boxing champ, appeared in Niles Municipal Court today a second time on misdemeanor charges of assault and disorderly conduct, but his case was reset to 8:30 a.m. Aug. 19.

Pavlik and his attorney, Damian Billak, met with Niles Prosecutor Terry Swauger in Swauger’s office, Billak said. This was his second pretrial hearing in the case.

Pavlik, of Sugarbush Drive, Canfield, former world-champion middleweight boxer, was charged at the Pine Tree Place plaza in April after police said he was involved in a fight in the parking lot during the Foo Fighters concert that took place inside the plaza.
