Dr. Vicki Hayward Doe of Vicki Doe Fitness is offering an “Autoimmune Lupus and Rheumatoid Arthritis” workshop at 6 p.m. July 16 at Living Testimony Ministries, 34 Jacobs Road.

The Warren City Health Department and Mercy Health are offering a two-part program to determine risk for high blood pressure, heart disease and diabetes on July 16 and 30 at Grace AME Church, 1137 Main Ave. S.W.
Appointments for health screenings will be scheduled from 9 to 11 a.m. July 16, and results will be presented from noon to 1:30 p.m. July 30. Participants must agree to attend both parts of the program. Registration is required. Call 330-841-2596.
Immunization clinic

The Warren City Health Department, 418 Main Ave. S.W. is offering childhood immunization clinics in July and August. All clinics are walk-in; no appointments are required.
The child should be well and free of fever, rash or illness. An updated shot record is required. A $10 fee is charged or Medicaid cards are accepted. For information, call Cheryl Strother at 330-841-2596.
Clinic dates, all of which are 9 to 11 a.m. and 1 to 3 p.m., are: Monday and July 27, Aug. 3 and 17 and Sept. 14 and 28. A special clinic day is set for 8 a.m. to noon Sept. 23.
Jameson award
NEW CASTLE, PA.
Jameson Health System received the 2015 Champion of Older Workers Award presented by the Pennsylvania Department of Aging during the Annual Pennsylvania Partners Employment, Training and Education Conference in Hershey, Pa.
By virtue of the award, Jameson Health System was placed in Pennsylvania’s Hall of Fame for Champions of Older Workers.
Jameson Health System, Lawrence County’s largest employer, has more than 1,300 employees with 31 percent of health-system workers representing those 55 and older. Jameson is also recognized for providing ongoing training.
Food program

Learn to make healthy, wholesome decisions about food during a special program from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. July 15 in the garden at the Joanie Abdu Comprehensive Breast Care Center, 1044 Belmont Ave.
At the event, Dr. Kathy S. Padgitt will present “Empowering Cancer Survivors Through Nutrition,” and local farmers from Miller Livestock, Lady Buggs Farm and wellness professionals from the Downtown Wellness Community will share tips for better nutrition. Healthy foods to sample and information will be offered.
The event, provided through a grant from the Mercy Health Foundation Mahoning Valley, is free for cancer survivors and one guest. Reservations are required. Call 330-480-2763.

Mercy Health Youngstown is offering a one-hour workshop, “Health at Home,” next Tuesday at St. Joseph Warren Hospital, 667 Eastland Ave. The morning session is scheduled for 11 a.m. to noon with the evening session set for 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. The workshop offers information about more than 200 common health problems.
