‘Menopause’ coming to Packard in Oct.

WARREN

The national touring production of “Menopause: The Musical” will come to Packard Music Hall, 1703 Mahoning Ave. NW, on Oct. 13 for an 8 p.m. performance.

The musical comedy is staged to classic tunes from the ’60s, ’70s and ’80s. Set in a department store, four women with seemingly nothing in common find they have more to share than ever imagined.

The cast makes fun of their hot flashes, forgetfulness, mood swings and more as they form a bond over something that is a part of every woman’s life.

The tour is going out under the banner of “The Survivor Tour” and will feature four professional actresses who are cancer survivors.

For every ticket sold, $2 will be donated to a locally based chapter of the Susan G. Komen Foundation.

Tickets range from $34 to $49 (plus additional fees) and go on sale Friday at 10 a.m.

All tickets are reserve seating. Go to packardmusichall.com or call Ticketmaster at 800-745-3000. Tickets are also available at the Packard box office.

Album release day now Friday in U.S.

Starting this week, the music industry will, for the first time, release new albums around the world on the same day — Friday.

“In today’s connected world, it simply makes no sense that an album could be released in Australia on a Friday, but not be available in the U.K. until the following Monday or in the U.S. until the subsequent Tuesday,” said Frances Moore, CEO of the International Federation of the Phonographic Industry (IFPI), which represents the music industry in 62 countries.
