Price pleads guilty before trial gets underway


YOUNGSTOWN — A man set to go on trial today in Mahoning County Common Pleas Court for a February murder outside a South Side bar pleaded guilty to voluntary manslaughter and other charges.

Earl Price, 42, also entered guilty pleas before Judge R. Scott Krichbaum to charges of being a felon in possession of a firearm, a repeat violent offender specification and firearms specification.

Price was charged with killing Dejuan Thomas, 33, outside the Partners Jazz And Blues Lounge on Oak Hill Avenue following an argument inside the bar.

Price was at large for several weeks before he was captured.
