Poland council hears discussion on forest issue
POLAND — Village council heard from residents during a discussion about whether or not to remove dead ash trees in the Poland Municipal Forest.
During public comment at a meeting today, residents, including members of the forest board, expressed concerns about any measures that would disturb the forest's natural state. Others agreed it might be best to remove those trees that pose a danger to forest visitors.
Council did not take action and will continue discussions with the forest board and residents.
