Two vacant houses burn during holiday weekend


YOUNGSTOWN — City fire crews battled two vacant house fires over the holiday weekend.

Reports said a fire at a 1313 Quinn St. house just before midnight Saturday caused about $3,000 in damage, which reports said was a loss. The cause is listed as arson.

About 1:16 a.m. Friday, a blaze at a vacant 46 N. Lakeview Ave. home caused $2,000 in damage. The fire there was burning on the front porch, reports said. The cause of that fire is under investigation, reports said.

There were no injuries.
