Police ID victim of Brookfield fire

BROOKFIELD — The township police department has identified James D. Hobart, 52, as the person who died in a fire at an 8136 Ohio St. home about 6:50 a.m. Sunday.

A news release from the township police department said Hobart was found on the basement steps.

The fire is under investigation by the township police and fire departments as well as the State Fire Marshal’s office and the Trumbull County Coroner’s Office.
