Man sent back to prison after gun arrest
YOUNGSTOWN — A man who had been out of prison for just two months before he was arrested with a gun following an argument last September at an Argyle Drive residence in Boardman received a three-year prison sentence today.
Çarlos Valentin, 24, was sentenced by Judge Lou D’Apolito in Mahoning County Common Pleas Court on charges of being a felon in possession of a firearm and aggravated assault.
Valentin had served a four year sentence for aggravated robbery and was out of prison when he was arrested following the fight.
Police found a handgun under a mattress in his home, reports said.
