Campbell traffic stop leaves to drug charges


CAMPBELL — A traffic stop Thursday led to an arrest for heroin possession of heroin.

Officers stopped a car on McCartney Road according to police. Police said the driver, Aliyah Murphy, 20, of New Castle, Pa. was driving with a suspended license and that she initially gave them a false name.

Officers searched the vehicle's two passengers and discovered 0.7 grams of suspected heroin in a wallet belonging to Devail Adams, 45, of Detroit, Mich.

Murphy and the other passenger were transported to Campbell city jail and then released. Murphy will appear in Campbell Municipal Court on Tuesday at 9 a.m. in charges of driving under suspension and obstruction of justice.

Police took Adams into custody and he will also be arraigned in Campbell Municipal Court on Tuesday at 9 a.m.
