2 Liberty students’ superheroes win contest, $50 each for creators

Alyssa Gilchrist and Grace McCarty, fifth-graders at W.S. Guy Middle School in Liberty, each won $50 for their submissions in the Geauga Trumbull Solid Waste Management District’s Environmental Super Hero Contest.

Students in Geauga and Trumbull counties were asked to create an environmental superhero and explain its super powers.

Three other winners were from Geauga County, said Holly Carine, district educator.
