Forensic fellowship

Laura Gaige Albert, board-certified psychiatrist, completed a forensic fellowship in psychiatry at the University of North Carolina Medical School last month.

She is a 2002 graduate of Cardinal Mooney High School. Dr. Albert earned a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Tulane University and a doctor of medicine degree from the University of Cincinnati.

She has accepted a position with Denver Health in Denver and an appointment as an associate professor at the University of Colorado School of Medicine. She is the daughter of Gene and Kathie Chaffee Gaige of Canfield.

Atty. William Scott Fowler, of Comstock, Springer & Wilson Co., LPA, has received the Mahoning County Bar Association’s distinguished service award, which is given for exemplary service to the association or the community at large.

Also at the association’s banquet last week at the Youngstown Country Club, Atty. George P. Millich Jr. was installed as association president for 2015-16, and Atty. Robert J. Christian was elected president-elect. Christian will be association president in 2016-17.

Attys. Frederick A. Kannensohn and Robert A. Lenga, and U.S. Magistrate George B. Limbert were honored for 50 years as lawyers.

Attys. Victor Sperling and George A. Tzagournis were honored for 55 years in the profession.

Judges John P. Almasy and Joseph Donofrio and Attys. Henry W. Davis and Herbert Pridham were honored for 60 years as lawyers, with Atty. Eldon (Bud) Wright being honored for 65 years in the profession.
