Acura recently honored Acura of Boardman and owner Jerry Sandford with its 2014 Dealership of Distinction award. This annual award is Acura’s highest honor, and it is presented only to its dealerships that demonstrate total operational excellence. The dealerships are recognized on achieving excellence in client treatment, sales and service performance, facility and finance. Acura dealerships from across the country participated in the yearlong recognition program, with only 25 percent earning the honor for 2014.

Marci Radcliffe of Hermitage, Pa., recently was named chairwoman and the Women’s Fund adviser by the Lawrence Mercer ATHENA membership. Radcliffe is the assistant to the chief investment officer at F.N.B. Investment Advisors Inc.

Jennifer Fisher White of Hubbard was named the chairwoman-elect of Lawrence Mercer ATHENA. Fisher White is a senior accountant at HBK CPAs and Consultants.

HIRED

Canfield’s Center For Physical Health recently hired physical therapist Caitlin Glenn. She graduated from Youngstown State University in 2014 with her doctorate in physical therapy. Glenn has a special interest in manual therapy, orthopedic rehabilitation, women’s health, pelvic floor rehabilitation and working with endurance athletes for both coaching and therapy.

HONOR

Huntington Bank has been named the second-most reputable bank in the country among customers, according to a new study from the Reputation Institute published in an American Banker article. Of the 32 banks in the survey, only three banks were in the top 10 for high reputation scores among customers and noncustomers.

Simon Roofing has promoted Dr. Walter C. Fluharty to vice president of environmental health, safety and organizational development, and hired Allison Richards as environmental health and safety professional, a new position for the Youngstown company.

The Dairy Queen restaurant at 3555 S. Meridian Road in the Youngstown-Cornersburg area, recently received a PRIDE – Personal Responsibility in Delivering Excellence – Award from the Dairy Queen system for achieving a high level of cleanliness and food safety.
