Trumbull County will begin flushing hydrants in the Southeast Water District
WARREN
Trumbull County sanitary engineers will begin flushing fire hydrants in the Southeast Water District on Monday.
The county department says hydrant flushing improves water quality by removing stagnant water, sediment, and excessive mineral deposits from the inside walls of the water main and discharging them out of the system through the hydrants.
Southeast Water District customers are in Brookfield, Vienna, Howland, Hubbard and Liberty townships. Customers may experience temporary discoloration of their water. The discoloration is not harmful and should clear with one to two hours of flushing.
If discoloration continues for more than two hours after crews have left, call the office at 330-675-2775.
