v Canfield Rotary Fireworks Festival, 6 to 11 p.m.: Bring your lawn chairs for family fun, a performance by J.D. Eicher and the Goodnights, and fireworks ($10 per car); Canfield Fairgrounds.

v Fireworks in Niles: A fireworks display in downtown Niles will follow the Mahoning Valley Scrappers game (which starts at 7:05 p.m. at Eastwood Field).

v Packard Legacy Weekend, noon to 5 p.m.: This event celebrates the Packard automobile, which was made in Warren, and includes exhibits, lectures and more. It’s outside at the National Packard Museum, 1899 Mahoning Ave. NW, Warren (the event is free, but there is a fee to enter the museum).

v Fourth of July festival, 8:30 a.m. to 11 p.m.: A day-long celebration at Firestone Park in Columbiana, starting with fishing and pet contests in the morning, and live music in the evening. It culminates with fireworks at 10 p.m. The park is at 381 E. Park Ave., Columbiana.

v Amanda Jones and the Family Band, 5 p.m.: A concert of original songs and a tribute to Sugarland by this powerful vocalist at the Mosquito Lake State Park, state Route 305, Cortland.

Fourth of July celebrations: Nothing beats watching fireworks live. But if you happen to be welded to the couch this year, television has plenty of “oohs” and “ahs” to offer. The special programming includes the “Macy’s 4th of July Fireworks Spectacular” (8 p.m., NBC) from Manhattan. Performances include Dierks Bentley, Kelly Clarkson, Brad Paisley, Flo Rida and Meghan Trainor. And then there’s “A Capitol Fourth” (8 p.m., PBS). It’s an all-star musical extravaganza from the West Lawn of the Capitol. The talent lineup includes Barry Manilow, Alabama, Nicole Scherzinger, Hunter Hayes, Meghan Linsey, KC and the Sunshine Band.

“Community Connection” (Sunday at 6:30 a.m. on 21 WFMJ-TV, and at 11 a.m. on WBCB-TV): Youngstown radio station Star 94.7 has marked one year of being the urban voice of the Valley. On-air personality Devyn Bellamy will join host Madonna Chism Pinkard to discuss the new station and how it plans to unite the community with family events.

Next, Lori Factor, director of the Summer Festival of the Arts at Youngstown State University, will discuss the free event.

Finally, Brenda Heidinger of the Mahoning County Alcohol & Drug Addiction Services Board and Dr. Daniel Brown of Meridian Community Services will discuss the opiate epidemic in the Valley.

“Increase the Peace” (today at 6:30 p.m. and Sunday at 6:30 a.m. on MyYTV): Show host Andrea Mahone’s guests will be Terill Vidale and Chris Gunther of the 2DE Gospel Festival; and Sterling A. Williams of Sterling McCullough Funeral Home. They will discuss the July 12 event in downtown Youngstown.

“Conversation with Dee” (8:30 a.m. Sunday on WKBN-TV): Host Dee Crawford will welcome Annie Hall and Youngstown Police Chief Robin Lees who will be discussing the March Against Crime on Aug. 4, 2015.
