Picnic to mark Kane camp legacy

YOUNGSTOWN

St. Patrick Church, 1420 Oak Hill Ave., will host a picnic Aug. 16 to celebrate the legacy of Father Kane Camp.

The schedule will mimic a day at camp with Mass at 10 a.m., a flag raising and Pledge of Allegiance at 11:15, a blessing of the totem pole from the camp at 11:30 and a picnic at noon.

The event will feature a craft den, food, a scavenger hunt and a campfire with songs and snacks.

Anyone who has photos, crafts and/or artifacts from their days at camp can take them or send photos.
