Prophetess Debra Ingram will be guest speaker when the Youngstown Chapter of Igniting New Life Ministries, an interdenominational ministry, meets Monday at Georgeanna Parker Activity Center in Boardman Park, 375 Boardman-Poland Road.

Fellowship will begin at 6:30 p.m. with ministry at 7.

Ingram is the founding director of the Bride of Christ Worship Team and dean of the Kingdomites Biblical Dance/Flag Academy, where she trains dancers in the art of movement through dance.

Labyrinth walk

CANFIELD

Families with children are specially invited to take part in The Ursuline Center’s next guided labyrinth walk, “Celebrating Families,” at 6:30 p.m. July 14 at 4280 Shields Road.

Children have their own way to pray the labyrinth, often in more physical and vocal ways than adults.

A complete list of 2015 guided walks can be found at www.theursulinecenter.org.

The labyrinth is a ministry of the Ursuline Sisters of Youngstown and is open year-round from dawn to dusk for all people of faith.

There is no cost to use the Labyrinth, which is handicapped-accessible and offers ample parking.

Printed guides that give suggestions for following the path are provided at the labyrinth’s entrance, but there is no right or wrong way to experience the sacred walk.

Director named

YOUNGSTOWN

Bishop George V. Murry of the Diocese of Youngstown appointed the Rev. John- Michael Lavelle as director of the annual Bishop’s Appeal for Catholic Charities and Church for the diocese.

He currently serves as director of advancement for Catholic Charities, and pastor of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Parish in Niles.

He will retain those positions.

Father Lavelle was ordained May 27, 2000, and served at parishes and Catholic Television Network of Youngstown.

He previously served as president of the board of directors of Catholic Charities serving Portage and Stark counties, a member of the board of directors of the diocese’s Catholic Charities Corp.; chairman of the Diocesan Catechetical Commission; and chairman of the Diocesan Stewardship Commission.

Concert at church

CORTLAND

The Singing Weavers will present a special holiday concert at 6 p.m. Sunday at Calvary Bible Church, 2878 Warren Meadville Road.

The three-generational recording family has performed for 44 years.

A free-will offering will be taken. A nursery will be provided.

Pastor anniversary

WARREN

Agape Assembly Church will celebrate the third pastoral anniversary of Pastor Todd Johnson and his wife, Shameika, at 4 p.m. July 19 at Ciminero’s Banquet Center in Niles.

Guest speaker will be the Rev. Michael Harrison of Union Baptist Church in Youngstown.

The tickets will be available through July 11 for $35 a person.

District revival

NEW CASTLE, PA.

Beaver Valley District Church of God in Christ will conduct its annual district revival at 7:30 p.m. July 15-17 at Ebenezer Church of God in Christ, 1119 S. Jefferson St.
