McDonald alert ends after package found empty

With America on heightened alert this holiday weekend for suspicious activity and terrorism, a resident's concern about a package outside of Woodland Park United Methodist drew a full response from police and fire departments and the Youngstown Bomb Squad.

It turned out the box near a stop sign was empty, but not before the Ohio Avenue area was cordoned off after 8:30 p.m. for a two-hour investigation.
