Kindergarten students from the Youngstown area in the Ohio Virtual Academy celebrated their graduation on May 29 at the Boardman library.
Students came for snacks, a small ceremony and fun to reward them for a successful first year of school.
OHVA kindergarten teacher Whitney Bole attended the event with her students, praising them for their progress over the year.
“I like watching the kids grow,” Bole said.
Carmen DiFrangia, OHVA kindergarten intervention specialist, also came to the Boardman library for the festivities, not only for pride in the students, but also for pride of the program and herself, overall.
“I enjoy seeing growth from the start of the year to the end of the year,” DiFrangia said. “It’s really rewarding.”
DiFrangia said she liked to see the students in the area and their families come together for the event.
In addition to seeing the progress Bole said she personally likes working with the families.
