Vindy Talk Radio will have two guests this morning from Lordstown’s General Motors Assembly Plant.
Glenn Johnson, president of the United Auto Workers Local 1112, and Robert Morales, president of the UAW Local 1714, will be on from 9 to 10 a.m. to talk Chevrolet Cruze.
The about 4,500 Lordstown plant workers have built the Cruze since 2010, and will soon build its successor — a sleek, lighter and larger model.
The next-generation Cruze made its global debut June 24 in Detroit and will debut locally on July 9 at the Lordstown plant for the workers.
Chevrolet leaders say the new Cruze will build off of the success of the current Cruze — General Motor’s best-selling car. Today’s Cruze has more than 3.5 million global sales.
