Boardman police arrest man after assault complaint

BOARDMAN — An Austintown man faces a misdemeanor domestic-violence charge after Austintown police picked him up on a warrant out of Boardman.

Township police took custody of Daniel Farah Jr., 29, Wednesday on the charge they say stems from an incident early Monday in which Farah reportedly injured his girlfriend.

Police responded to a Pearson Circle apartment about 1:45 a.m. Monday, where the alleged victim told them Farah entered her apartment through an unlocked window and assaulted her.

Police observed multiple injuries on the alleged victim.

Farah is free on bond and is scheduled to appear in court later today.
