Agatha Christie’s “A Murder Is Announced,SDRq directed by Chris Fidram, Salem Community Theatre, 490 E. State St., auditions at 7 p.m. July 12 and 13. The show is a classic Christie puzzle of mixed motives, concealed identities, a second death and a determined inspector grimly following the twists and turns, and includes the famous “Miss Marple” character. There are roles available for five male and seven female actors of various ages. All roles are open, and those auditioning should come prepared to read from the script. Callbacks, if necessary, will be scheduled after auditions. Performances will begin Sept. 18 and will include six performances over two weekends through Oct. 24. Call 330-332-9688 for information.

“Incorruptible,SDRq directed by Paul Angelucci, New Castle Playhouse, 212 E. Long Ave., New Castle, Pa., auditions at 7 p.m. July 20 and 21 in the Annex Theatre. The show is a dark comedy about the Dark Ages. Eight roles need to be filled, five men and three women. Performances will take place Oct. 2-11. For information, call the Playhouse at 724-654-3437.
