Authorities in two states look for bank robbery suspect

Police believe an attempted bank robbery at PNC Bank on West Liberty Street in Hubbard last month may be connected to a robbery of another PNC bank the following day in Sugar Grove, Pa., Warren County, which is close to the New York-Pennsylvania border.
Surveillance video of the suspect in both cases shows a white male who is more than 6 feet tall and wearing a black baseball cap.
The suspect walked into the Hubbard bank about 2:30 p.m. June 25, handed a note to a teller demanding money and then left with the note, but without receiving money.
Pennsylvania State Police in Warren County report that a 25- to 35-year-old male walked into the PNC bank in Sugar Grove at 2:20 p.m. June 26, handed a note to teller and left with an undisclosed amount of cash.
PNC Bank will offer an award of up to $5,000 to anyone with information about the burglary from the PNC Bank in Sugar Grove.
The suspect left the Hubbard bank in a black Chevrolet Traverse. The suspect’s method of exit from the Sugar Grove bank was unknown.
