CHAMPION

Chris Muir scored 23 points and Tommy Bell added a double-double with 19 points and 13 rebounds as the Bulldogs outlasted the Golden Flashes, their top rival, in an AAC game at Champion. The teams were tied at 66 at the end of regulation, thanks in large part to a 30-point third quarter by the Golden Flashes. But Lakeview held Champion to just four points in overtime. Brandon Keller added 13 points and Jatise Garrison had 10 for the Bulldogs. Chris Miller and Michael Turner each scored 19 for the Golden Flashes and Lucas Nasonti had 17. Turner had five 3-pointers.

D.J. Hancock scored 17 points and the Aviators used a 23-11 forth quarter to seal the game. Jerian Thomas had 19 points for the Warriors (8-8).

For the Bears, Drew Turney led with 16 points. Also scoring in double figures were Evan Davis with 15, Trent Ferry with 13 and Josh Faulkner with 11.

Glenn Hoffman scored 28 points to lead Heartland Christian past Beaver County Christian. Ben Burgess added eight points and eight rebounds for the Lions (4-11). Beaver County Christian had a pair of 17-point scorers.

Chase Hilliard scored 15 points, grabbed nine rebounds and dished out eight assists, but Beaver Local fell to Toronto. Chase Wilcox added 20 points for the Beavers. Blaze Glenn scored a game-high 30 points, with 10 rebounds and six assists.

Andrew and Alex Applegate each scored eight points to lead Lordstown to a victory over Newbury. Tom Csepi led the Black Knights with 10 points.
