Boardman police arrest multiple suspects on drug and theft charges at Walmart

Staff report

BOARDMAN

Township police arrested multiple people in two separate drug-related incidents at Walmart, 1300 Doral Drive, on Thursday.

Patricia Watson, 51, of Struthers, was arrested on a misdemeanor theft charge after police said she, along with Michael Zarlingo III, 54, of Youngstown, attempted to steal from the store.

In addition to theft, Zarlingo will be charged with misdemeanor counts of possession of drug abuse instruments and possession of drug paraphernalia. Police also discovered that he has a warrant out of Trumbull County for failure to appear on a larceny charge.

Watson was released on a summons. Police are seeking Zarlingo after he walked away from St. Elizabeth Boardman Hospital after he requested medical attention at the time of the incident.

In a separate incident Thursday, police arrested Noreen Jordan, 34, of Akron, at the same location.

Police responded to the location for a report of three suspects attempting to steal computers from the store. Two males fled the scene, but Jordan was arrested on charges of possession of drugs, possession of drug abuse instruments, possession of drug paraphernalia and theft after police found cocaine and what is believed to be heroin on her person.

Jordan was taken to the Mahoning County jail.

All three suspects are scheduled to appear in Mahoning County Area Court here on Tuesday.
