Ohio high court dismisses complaint

COLUMBUS

The Ohio Supreme Court has dismissed a complaint filed by Newton Falls resident Werner Lange that sought to have a decision of the Newton Falls Village Council placed before voters.

Lange’s action sought to have voters decide whether they supported a council decision to increase income taxes for village residents who work outside the village. The suit was filed against the Trumbull County Board of Elections, arguing that the board erred in removing Lange’s referendum from the November ballot.
