Eight years in stabbing case

Patrick Howard, 24, of Cambridge Avenue, was sentenced to eight years in prison this morning in Mahoning County Common Pleas Court for the stabbing of a Boardman woman on March 29, 2013.

Howard was convicted in December of two counts of felonious assault before Visiting Judge Paul Mitrovich, who handed down the sentence today.

Howard was indicted on one count of attempted murder and two counts each of felonious assault and aggravated robbery in the wounding of the woman, who was stabbed multiple times at 3:45 a.m. in her apartment in the 4000 block of South Avenue.
