Leetonia Community Public Library, 181 Walnut St., has a program planned for noon Feb. 14: a Crystal Dragon martial arts karate mini-lesson, which will include refreshments and a craft.
Participants must register by 4 p.m. Feb. 6. Call the library at 330-427-6635 or stop in to register.
Ulster Project benefit slated
CANFIELD
The Mahoning Valley Ulster Project will host its 4th Annual Wine and Beer Tasting Benefit at 2 p.m. Feb. 8 at Drake’s Landing Banquet Center, 2177 W. Western Reserve Road.
Tickets cost $25 a person and include light appetizers and tickets for wine/beer sampling. There will be a basket auction, 50-50 raffle and giveaways.

Each year the Ulster Fundraising committee works to raise $20,000, which is the amount necessary to cover expenses for the host teens and Northern Irish teens. Visit www.ulsterprojectmv.com for information.
Nominations sought for Citizens of Honor
SALEM
The Salem Historical Society is seeking nominations for the 2015 Citizens of Honor recognition.
Criteria are for Salem-connected citizens from the present or past who have distinguished themselves with service to their community, their career, and/or to their country. The intent is to announce the addition of two citizens during the Founders’ Day program in April.
