Trucker injured in I-80 crash

WEST MIDDLESEX, pa.

A tractor-trailer rolled onto its side Tuesday afternoon on Interstate 80 in Shenango Township, sending its driver to the hospital.

About 1:30 p.m., the truck, driven by Robert C. Pollock, 65, of Saltsburg, was traveling onto the west I-80 ramp from Interstate 376 when it rolled onto its side, then bounced upright.

The truck continued to travel across both lanes of traffic on I-80 and rolled onto its left side, the rear trailer striking a guardrail and expressway sign on the side of the road.

The truck was hauling a large metal coil.

Pollock was transported to UPMC Sharon Regional Hospital.
